Your age:
30 (Feeling 20)

Your nationality:
Norwegian

Can you use Discord and do you have a microphone (you don't need to speak to join but we do need you to listen):
Yes and yes!

How long have you been playing WOW:
Since day.. 3? Would have been day 1 but I have this family, and my attending family weddings was to my despair expected of me. Since then I've been active through it all aside from a 5 month break during MoP.

Will you be able to attend the raids (answer yes, no or maybe):
Monday 20.15-23.00: Yes
Tuesday 20.15-23.00: Yes
Thursday 20.15-23.00: Yes
(Though work / family / girlfriend might prevent me from going 3/3 every week.)

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER

Character name:
Thoven

Character class:
Druid

Character ilevel:
932 (Balance) / 931 (Resto)

How long have you been level 110 (use /played in-game):
Currently not able to log in but I've been 110 since day 3 of Legion and been active ever since so it should add up to an embarrassingly high amount.

Character spec:
Balance, though I've been mostly resto in ToS due to guild needs.

What stats do you think it is important for your character to focus on:
Items with mastery/haste make me drool. I've always been a fan of mixing it up to a reasonable amount, but there is no denying that those two can make any lazer-chicken melt the hardest of faces.

Do you have an offspec and do you have gear for it:
Resto, the gear is mostly the same as balance, though I do swap a few pieces for stats and of course legendaries with offensive procs won't do me no good here.

Character tradeskill professions and levels:
Alch / Herb maxed

Make sure to give us an armory link using the armory button above inserting your character name between the tags (please log off in your PvE gear):
Thoven-doomhammer

What sets you aside from other applicants:
I'd like to think my level of focus and ability to react to complex situations gives me an edge when it comes to handling mechanics and thinking on my feet when situations get tense. My raiding experience stretches all the way back to Molten Core, so I've "seen it all" so to speak.

Previous guild(s):
Vanilla -> Wotlk (up until Trial/ICC) - Purple Rain (Zenedar)
Wotlk (Trial / ICC) - Metal Mayhem
Cata - Purple Rain
MoP -> WoD (from SoO up until Legion pre-patch) - Insurgent Force
WoD -> Now - The Phoenix Reborn

Reason(s) why you left previous guild(s):
This will be more of a "my story" so bear with me..

Purple rain was the guild that introduced me to raiding, we were extremely hard core back in those days and by the time we hit Wotlk I was starting to feel the pressure of real life, making it impossible to keep that routine going.
I Left to join Metal Mayhem mainly because my real-life friends (Rob among them, who is currently crushing it with you guys.) in-game was there. We raided ICC with that bunch and figured we wanted to try doing things on our own, so we left and formed a friends-only guild which we thought would be our group through Cata. For several reasons however, mainly activity, that didn't work out.
In the aftermath of all that I went back to Purple Rain who were now reduced to the core of the team from back in the days, doing mostly casual raiding which suited me well at that time. But there was no denying I was feeling a bit tired of it all, so I went on a break by the time MoP was approaching.
I came back mid-MoP and was mostly doing PvP with a few friends, until I joined up with Rob and his crew for SoO. I stayed with these guys throughout WoD, but me, Rob and a couple more guys felt we wanted to be raiding at a higher level.
That's when The Phoenix Reborn showed up. I joined right before Legion, and we went on to reach our goal of clearing mythic Emerald Nightmare. There was some guild drama after that which led to a lot of "Team 1" raiders leaving, among them Rob. I stayed behind to do some heroic raiding which I've come to find is the perfect blend of difficulty/requirements for me. Up until now I've been very happy with my situation in TPR.
We recently cleared ToS heroic, but the simple fact is I miss raiding with a more focused crew. People make the bare minimum of effort to be prepared (6 out of 16 members of our last raid couldn't be arsed to unlock their crucible..), and countless wipes because people need to learn every single mechanic as we go instead of reading up is not my style. I don't mind wiping as long as people are actively doing their best to improve. And of course, the chance to play with Rob again is a massive draw.

Reasons why you would like to join:
First of all, I miss my hubby Rob <3
He's told me about your raiding schedules, how you do raids in general, the people who make up the guild. I would very much like to be a part of the project. It sounds like you know how to mix high quality raiding with the need to cultivate a healthy real-life. Also the way Rob describes how you treat your members in and out of raids is a massive plus on my end.

Are there any people in the guild that you know:
This should come as no surprise by now, but yes, Rob!
You might know him by his creative aliases Glitterfart, Gravelhammer and other Nobel-inspiring nicknames.

We've decided not to hold the fact that you know Rob against you, and welcome you to the guild!

See you in the green soon! :)
